Client Manager- Birmingham


An opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious accountant to manage their own portfolio and small team at a growing independent practice in Birmingham.


You will start as a Client Manager with an eye to grow and progress as you gain exposure to a burgeoning client base. This role will consist largely of accounts and tax work, along with business development focus with property related clients as an identified target sector.



Manage a portfolio of clients

Prepare and review working papers, statutory accounts and management accounts

Prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns

Line manage more junior staff, overseeing work and assisting when needed

Assist with billing

Networking and building long lasting business relationships

Collaborate with Director to grow the business



ACA or ACCA Qualified for at least 4 years

Significant accounts, VAT and tax experience in practice

At least 2 years experience managing a team or juniors.

Exemplary communication and writing skills and be capable of liaising and forming relationships with clients.

An interest in property based clients

Experience with accounts software such as Xero, Quickbooks and Sage

Intermediate Excel skills including, Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, INDEX/MATCH formulae
