Heather Townsend

Heather is on our influencer list because of her wisdom, experience, and achievements. She has judged the British accountancy awards several times and is a member of the PSA. Heather is the founder of the accountant’s millionaires club and has a large following on social media which further increases her influence. Heather specialises in helping professionals, usually lawyers, accountants and consultants, grow into a larger practice.

Rebecca Benneyworth

Rebecca has made it onto our top 10 influencer list due to her capability and drive. She has been labelled as the ‘Best Tax Lecturer’, has worked as a chair of the ICAEW Tax Faculty and is the director of quality management software that helps tax for small business owners. Rebecca not only does all of this, but she is a small business owner herself owning an accountancy practice. Rebecca has helped a wide range of businesses, from the UK’s Treasury department to small independent businesses.

Mark Lee

Mark is a speaker, mentor, futurist, author and debunker and therefore he is on our top 10 influencer list. After qualifying as a chartered accountant, Mark specialised in providing support for individual accountants working in small and large firms. His large following online helps him give strategic advice on social media issues to firms while helping them focus on their key objectives.

Heather Self

Heather is on our influencer list as she has over 30 years’ experience in the industry, is head of tax at a FTSE 100 company, a partner at a big 4 accounting firm and is an adviser at HMRC. She is usually recognised for her creation of the ‘Women in Tax’ network and often comments on current Tax matters. Heather usually comments on these matters on BBC radio, TV and at professional conferences.

Paul Aplin

Paul is on our influencer list due to the fact he is the ICAEW Deputy President and has worked as Chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales Tax Faculty and its Technical Committee. He has been named ‘Tax Personality of the Year’ in 2007 and received the Outstanding Industry Contribution award in 2013. John Ashcroft

John’s a member of the Royal Society of Arts, is a member of the Society of Business Economists and is a companion of the British Institute of Management.

Carl Reader

Carl is on our influencer list because of his determination and eagerness. He has inspired and educated many through his books, articles and appearances. He currently is an elected director of the British Franchise Association and an ambassador for the IPSE. Carl is an executive board member in various businesses and advises thousands of business owners. He also often attends many events and appears on radio and TV to help educate individuals.

Richard Murphy

Richard is a chartered accountant and political economist and is often labelled as an ‘anti- poverty campaigner and tax expert’. Fiona Hotston Moore
